كشفَ لنا هذا البحثُ عن أنه على الرغم من التقدير والثقة في العقل في عصر النهضة في بلاد الغرب، إلَّا أنه ثمة إقرارات من فلاسفةٍ في تلك الفترة بعجز العقل في بحثهم لمشكلاتٍ فلسفيةٍ ودينيةٍ.
فأبانَ لنا البحثُ عن: إقرارات بعجز العقل عن تحصيل المعرفة، واللجوء في ذلك إلى الله؛ من خلال طريق الحَدْس الإشراقي، أو من خلال المعتقدات الدينية. وإقرارات بعجز العقل عن إيجاد حَلٍّ لمشكلةٍ قابلتْ الفيلسوف في بنائه الفلسفي؛ فيتركها دونَ بَتٍّ فيها، أو يُسند الأمر فيها إلى الله، أو إلى عقيدةٍ دينيةٍ بِعَيْنِها. وإقرارات بعجز العقل عن الإحاطة بقضيةٍ ما، وبيان أنَّ العلمَ بها محصورٌ ومقصورٌ على جوانب معينة. وإقرارات بعجز العقل عن عَقْلَنَةِ عقيدةٍ دينيةٍ معينةٍ؛ فتظلُّ قلقةً غيرَ مستقرةٍ لدى الفيلسوف، أو يقبلها على عِلَّتِها اقتناعًا منه بذلك، أو يقبلها لمجردِ أهدافٍ عمليةٍ دنيويةٍ.
وأظهرَ البحثُ أنَّ من هذه الإقرارات بعجز العقل ما كان له أثرٌ على تطوُّر الأفكارِ والمذاهبِ الفلسفيةِ الغربيةِ، سواء في فترة عصر النهضة أو الفترات التي تَلِيها، وعلى رأس تلك القضايا: قضية المعرفة.
Abstract:
This research revealed to us that despite the appreciation and trust in reason in the Renaissance era in Western countries, there were acknowledgments from philosophers in that period of the inability of reason in their investigation of philosophical and religious problems.
The search revealed to us: acknowledgments of the inability of the mind to obtain knowledge, and resorting to God in this regard; Through the path of Sufi intuition, or through religious beliefs. And acknowledgments of the inability of the mind to find a solution to a problem that met the philosopher in his philosophical construction. So he leaves it without deciding on it, or assigns the matter to God, or to a specific religious belief. And acknowledgments of the inability of the mind to comprehend an issue, and a statement that knowledge of it is limited and limited to certain aspects. And acknowledgments of the inability of reason to rationalize a particular religious belief due. It remains anxious and unstable for the philosopher, or he accepts it for its flaws out of his conviction of that, or he accepts it merely for practical, worldly goals.
The research showed that some of these acknowledgments of the inability of the mind had an impact on the development of Western philosophical ideas and doctrines, whether in the Renaissance period or the periods that followed it, and at the forefront of these issues: the issue of knowledge.
